Youth Eastside Services (YES) provides counseling, substance abuse treatment, education and prevention, and psychiatric services for youth ages birth to 22 and their families at more than 70 locations across East King County. Since 1968, we’ve helped children, teens and families struggling with depression, grief, trauma, substance abuse and so much more. We provide expert, confidential care that promotes long-term well-being.
Thanks to our generous, committed community of supporters, we’re able to offer services on a sliding scale that goes all the way down to zero — and we never turn away families because they can’t afford to pay for our services.
What we do
Youth Eastside Services (YES) is a leading provider of youth and family behavioral health services in East King County. YES provides mental health counseling and substance abuse treatment to help children, teens and families struggling with depression, grief, trauma, substance abuse, cultural- and gender-identity issues, bullying, dating violence, anxiety, ADHD, autism, low self-esteem and much more.
Our education and prevention services prevent issues before they start by empowering young people and families to pursue activities that promote their own wellness.
We believe that every young person deserves a chance to be happy and successful, no family should suffer through a crisis alone, and the strongest communities support those who are most vulnerable.
Available where youth and families need us
YES has staff at more than 70 locations across East King County, including offices in Bellevue, Redmond and Kirkland; teen centers; community centers and schools in the Lake Washington and Bellevue school districts.
No young person or family turned away
Need, not cost, should determine care. As a 501c3 nonprofit, we rely on donations to fund care for families that cannot afford to pay for services. Due to our generous, committed community of supporters, we’re able to offer services on a sliding scale that goes all the way down to zero—and we never turn away families because they can’t afford to pay for our services.
We welcome all youth and families with open arms
YES does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin, immigration status, religion, political beliefs, gender identity and expression, sex, sexual orientation, age, physical and mental ability, socioeconomic status, marital status, family/parental status and military status in any of its services, programs or operations. We welcome youth and families of all backgrounds, and we have the ability to provide services in many languages.
Our mission
YES is a lifeline for kids and families coping with challenges such as emotional distress, substance abuse and violence. Through intervention, outreach and prevention, YES builds confidence and personal responsibility, strengthens family relationships, and advocates for a safer community that cares for its youth.
